Founding of Rozier Companies marks new era for Mississippi business

Greenwood, Miss., Rozier Construction, the same family business that has erected 100-foot crosses all over Mississippi, now sits under a large new holding group of construction, development, and maintenance businesses: Rozier Companies.

Building structures and growing relationships seem to run in the Rozier family’s blood. Since 1976, Greenwood, MS, native Mike Rozier has been building commercial structures throughout the state and the Southeast. After nearly 20 years of development projects and a recent venture into the maintenance industry in 2021, the Roziers decided that a holding company could better communicate their mission and serve their clients.

Composed of Mike Rozier Construction, RM Development, and MainX Solutions, Rozier Companies reflects the generational legacy that Mike Rozier and his sons Michael and Craig hope to carry into the years to come. “We’ve been working toward this moment for a long time,” Mike Rozier, who founded Mike Rozier Construction in 1976, said. “It’s an honor and a privilege to be able to serve our clients in so many ways–through building, developing, and maintaining.”

“For us, Rozier Companies is another way that we can uphold our values and keep our promises to our clients,” Rozier Companies President Michael Rozier said. “My father taught me that words matter, but action and follow-through always matter more. He believes that relationships are everything–both in this industry and in this life. I watched him focus on building relationships before he broke ground on structures, and, today, Rozier Companies aims to do the same.”

Michael Rozier explains that Mike Rozier Construction, which will henceforth be known as Rozier Construction, isn’t going anywhere. On the contrary, he says, Rozier Construction is stronger today because of the Rozier Companies family of construction, development, and maintenance companies. “We aim to build relationships with our clients, then combine our capabilities to give them the best outcomes for their projects,” Rozier said. “We’re a stronger, better company because we can not only build a structure, we can also oversee its development and maintenance. From start to finish, our clients are interacting with the same people whom they know and trust.”

For the state of Mississippi, the Rozier family name has carried significant weight throughout the construction industry. Now, as Rozier Companies launches into its second year of operations, the legacy lives on. “We consider our clients to be part of our family story,” Rozier said. “Our hope is that Rozier Companies gives us more opportunities to create and strengthen relationships and to enrich the communities where we build, develop, and maintain.”
